 I didn't expect the gold medal to be as heavy as it was. Thank you Peter and Blair for allowing us the opportunity to see your Gold Medal closely. Winning!

Duffy hero assembly-Blair Tuke & Peter Burling

Last Friday we had our Duffy Hero assembly and we were very lucky to welcome Blair Tuke and Peter Burling as our Duffy Heroes. They shared about their small struggles at school but later in life learned how important Reading is and how reading has helped them with their sailing career.

Jahnei and Patrick got to ask the men a question on behalf of our Roscommon tamariki.

Swimming Lessons

 Today's lesson included- how to dive, dolphin techniques, and how to swim backwards☺

Project Wy- Motat trip

Project Wy, The Mind Lab, and MOTAT collaborated together to bring students an opportunity to be a Maker for a day. Students got to experience hands-on engineering in a fun, team-based environment, while also exploring the MOTAT. Because there were extra spaces available, students from our class were selected to also go on this trip.

Chrome session with Mrs Krausse

 In Room 11 we are learning to be more digitally competent. Today we had our first in-class support session with Mrs Krausse who joined us online (Google Meet). We had some technical difficulties but persevered through. 

We learnt how to bookmark sites and we also had a brief introduction to creating Google Slide Animations. We are looking forward to our next in-class support session with Mrs Krausse next Friday.
